Were You Thankful For 45?

As Americans all across this land of ours, we gathered together with family and friends last week to celebrate Thanksgiving. We were thankful for family. We were thankful for health. We were thankful for many things. Each of us had our personal list.

On your list of things, you were thankful for, was the Orange One on it? No, he wasn't? Well, he should have been, according to him anyway!

You're not surprised that he would think that; are you? Everything is always about him, right?

When he was asked what he was thankful for, he said. "For having a great family and for having made a great difference in the country. This country is so much stronger now than it was when I took office that you wouldn't believe it."

He is so proud of his image with world leaders that he was moved to say, "When I see foreign leaders, they say we cannot believe the difference in strength between the United States now and the United States two years ago — made a lot of progress."

In fact, he is so pleased with himself, he just had to let us all know about it. "Look, I hate to do it, but I will do it, I would give myself an A-Plus, is that enough? Can I go higher than that?"

No conceit there, right? Just as Agent Orange is thankful for himself, he thinks we should be thankful for him, too! How should we love thee, oh, Donald and be thankful. Let me count the ways!

Thank you for dividing America with your racist rhetoric and tone. Thank you for demeaning women by calling them "horse face" and admitting in public to sexually assaulting them. Thank you for giving white supremacists a voice to where they no longer have to whisper in the shadows. Thank you for making a mockery of the highest office in the land, bringing Russians into the Oval Office, thank you for that!

Of course, I can't forget to thank you for stealing President Obama's Supreme Court pick so you could put your guy in. Thank you, so much for the tax cuts that benefited the rich and corporate America, the middle class, the poor and me, thank you. There is more I could thank you for, my pumpkin colored one, but I'll leave it at these.

Black people being thankful for 45 is like Native Americans being thankful for Columbus.

The Dream - sickle Dunce cares nothing about us. Columbus cared nothing about indigenous people, all he cared about was exploiting them to his benefit, just like Donald - Little-Hands. When the nature of a man is to use and take advantage of people, you can't be shocked when he does exactly that. Every time his Orangeness does or says something civil people find rude, tasteless or just plain racist and mean, two things happen.

First, the GOP (Trumplicans) try to spin it and tell you and me that whatever it is, isn't what we heard or saw.

Second, some among us, keep waiting for this 71 - year - old man to change, he ain't changing people! He is what you see, a liar and a racist con - man concerned with one thing — making money for himself and expanding his brand to make more money. He doesn't care about this country or its institutions and norms!

Do you remember the movie from the 70's "Super Fly?" The sound track done by Curtis Mayfield, had a song called Super Fly and a line from the song was this. "Can't reason with the pusher man, finance is all that he understands." That is 45!

You can't reason with him on things pertaining to the welfare of this country or its people because he doesn't understand those concepts. Benefiting himself is all that he understands.

While wild fires raged in California, instead of expressing empathy for those who have lost everything to the fires, including their lives, he wanted to place blame. Forest management is the problem, not climate change causing drought and dry conditions. He is incapable of showing human emotions like sympathy and concern; he only understands winning and making money, that's it! This is the man we should be thankful for?

Now that the fullness of the turkey and dressing has worn off and the sleepiness of too much sweet potato pie has passed, what can we be thankful for regarding the Mango Menace? I'm thankful in two years, or less, he'll be gone (He'd better be). I'm very thankful we have a way to put him in check, now that the Dems have won the House back. I'm thankful for all the women in Congress now. Maybe with less testosterone, cooler heads can prevail.

These things I'm thankful for along with family, and friends. As for Sir - Lies - A - Lot, not so much!
