The sports experts will tell us who is an all - star, all - bum, great, goat and who needs to hang it up. They tell us who should win or lose and why, and why not it did or didn't happen.

When they are wrong, they catch no heat as they say, "my bad" or, "I didn't see that coming," or just "I was wrong". I fall into this group as I am wrong at times on my predictions, but I pay for it at times with my dead presidents. My dead presidents and I saw the Golden State Warriors doing what they do best, winning games and winning me money. Yes, on the flip side, my dead presidents and I didn't see Toronto making it to the NBA Finals. The members of the Whisper Club are waiting for the masses to break some ankles as they jump onto the Raptors Victory Bus as it leaves tire marks on Steph and his crew. Please do yourself a favor and save taping the old ankles as Golden State will leave Canada without the aid of the Royal Mountie. These NBA playoffs are showing the world that players who we were told were great had warts which they couldn't hide. When it was time for the best of the best to step up and lead, they tricked us by doing the rope - a - dope and leaving the scene. I did not realize that Kawhi Leonard had that arsenal of skills to put a team and country on his back and lead them to the Eastern Conference Title. This is what you want from any athlete whom we crown as being a royalty in their sport. We know Golden State has the players like Kevin, Steph, Klay and Draymond who know how to play and go into that dark room to find a way to win. There is no duck, duck, goose in their game. The Raptors have shown that in their history they do well in hide and go seek, but Kawhi has gone Lion King on this team from the north. This is some great material for a nice novel or movie; but this is why President Trump has border control agents to stop all the dreams and hopes of characters who think they have a chance. Golden State will not fall for this edition of Cinderella and do what is expected and keep a dinosaur in the museum.

The Michigan Wolverines have their man to lead them after their basketball coach took the money; and he is a good choice to lead this version and chapter in the book of Michigan Basketball. Welcome home, Juwan Howard. He is a Michigan man who is backed by the approval of University of Michigan money. I expect for Mr. Howard to do a fine job in getting the players to compete in the Big Ten. It is expected that he will be able to get high caliber talent without getting dirty. The basketball world is taking a "wait and see" position on if the heat turns up to a different level between Izzo and the new coach. As a player, Howard and his friends from the Fab Five left a sour taste and smell with the Spartan Nation by their antics while stepping on MSU. Izzo is a man who may forgive but he doesn't forget. Oh yes, it is going to be fun this upcoming basketball season.

It appears that any male over the age of 18 needs to understand that the media will send you to bed without any supper if during a baseball game, a foul ball comes into your area and you manage to get it before a child or woman has a chance. Then you will be toast. I guess the proper manner is to not be happy that you got the ball after any physical chase and combat to acquire the ball. If you see a kid or female in competition with you for the foul ball, you need to stop in your tracks, turn around and walk away or the fans will roast you for not giving the ball up to that kid or female. Please understand that one major joy in going to a baseball game is the hope of catching a foul or home run ball. It was about the chase to out - maneuver others to get that ball. Now today, if the ball doesn't fall into your lap be prepared to face the music if you don't follow Marvin Gaye, 'you got to give it up'.

Have a warm and happy week.
