Grand Rapids, Mich. – After nearly six years in the Grand Rapids Downtown Market, the multi - award winning Malamiah Juice Bar is ready to expand.

Malamiah's new home will be within Studio Park (currently under construction) located in the Arena District.

Malamiah Juice Bar and Eatery is expected to open in Fall 2019 and will include dine - in seating and an expanded menu.

Malamiah Juice bar first opened in 2013 as one of the original tenants in Grand Rapids Downtown Market.

Husband and wife team, Jermale and Anissa Eddie, co-founded the business and named it after their children (Malachi, Nehemiah and Josiah).

"The Downtown Market has been an excellent place for us to start." stated Jermale Eddie. "Growing our business alongside of all the other entrepreneurs in the market hall was invaluable. We were able to support one another and learn together as fellow business owners. We are grateful for our time at the Downtown Market and also very excited for what's next."

What's next, is moving from a 312 square foot space to an 1160 square foot space in Studio Park.

Studio Park, headed up by Celebration Cinema's President J.D. Loeks, is located just south of the Van Andel Arena and will include a movie complex, restaurant, apartments, retail, office space, a hotel, a parking garage and a 200 - seat live music venue.

The first phase of the project, which includes the movie theater, retail and apartments, is expected to open in September.

Malamiah Juice Bar opened six years ago with the mission to elevate community wellness through healthy products, local partnerships and youth employment.

"Our intention from the start was to use Malamiah as a force for good." says Anissa Eddie. "We love promoting holistic health and wellness within our community and supporting other local businesses. We are very proud of our youth employment program as well. The move to Studio Park will afford us even more opportunities to give back."

Malamiah fans can expect earlier hours of operation, breakfast and lunch menu options, a welcoming space to work and meet up, additional catering items and a schedule of in - store workshops and events along with other programming by Studio Park.

"We have been so grateful for the support of our amazing customer family through the years and we look forward to serving them even better in our new space," stated Jermale Eddie.

For him it is a special move. "On a side note, I [Jermale] worked at the very first Celebration Cinema in Benton Harbor, Michigan and was one of their first employees. Being a part of Studio Park, with direct Celebration Cinema ties almost feels like a homecoming of some sort."
