Quick question, why do announcers, coaches, players and experts use defeating an injured MSU football team player as a barometer for a statement making victory for a team. The Spartans won't say it, but things would be a tad different if they possessed all or most of their cards from their football deck.
Can we say shame, shame, shame on all the U of M fans and experts who for the last ten weeks have been kissing the ring and feet of the greatest football coach in America, Jim Harbaugh, but after the beat down to Ohio State they talk ill of the man, his football team, family and dog? There was only one person (that be you Lloyd C) that I know of who openly questioned the teams that Michigan had defeated and the skills of Coach Harbaugh. I kept this on the down - low as I know the consequences for saying negative things about Coach Harbaugh.
I truly thought, my wallet truly thought, that it was time for a Wolverine victory over Ohio State and man was I wrong.
I was correct about Michigan State not beating any team by more than three touchdowns so all was not lost. This revenue was needed as I got snowed in in Florida for an extra day due to the Monday blizzard in Michigan. It was in Florida that I gained a new insight on the feelings of displaced, fired, yelled upon, and kicked to the curb quarterbacks. Yes, I am guilty of calling many quarterbacks bums. No, I didn't care about their feelings as I just wanted them to do their job, but now I know the pain.
While on Sarasota Beach in Florida, during Ms. Nicole Taylor's (ex of the O and FAMU) Family Thanksgiving Roaring 20s festivities, I was selected, drafted with the number one pick to be the quarterback for both teams in the sand football game. The arm and shoulder were feeling good after my two - year - old surgery so I was good to handle the task and honor. My task was to just throw the football straight, long, and high while being blindfolded. This again was no issue as yes I was planning to cheat. It appears that some of Nicole's advanced-collegestudent relatives have issues with old ex-teachers who sort of cheat while playing sports so I was re-blindfolded. This is when my troubles began. I started throwing the football anywhere and everyplace,j except straight. Did I hit some babies and birds minding their own business? Did I hit a driver on the John Deer Sand Jeep?
Did I hit the Amish couple in full gear walking with boots on the sand hand in hand to the water? You need to ask the people hiding on the beach as I was blindfolded. Did I start hearing angry words from the players and people watching, yes, but my hide is thick. The pain and hurt didn't come until my wife and Nicole told me in loud and harsh words to my blindfolded face that I was horrible and if I didn't improve then I would be fired right there on the beach and be sent to the sandy bench. Wow, wife and daughter working in tandem to put pressure on an old man. I am not a person who runs and hides from a challenge or task thus I turned my A game on to finish the game. Let it be known though that Nicole did snatch the ball from me to finish the overtime session as the losers did cheat to tie things up to go into overtime. Nicole said the game needed to be over before Jodie's and the twins' next birthday and lunch was ready.
While eating my bar-b-que, Nicole did come over to me quietly, kicked sand on me and told me that she loves me but the next time we play football I will not be quarterbacking as my sand football scholarship has been revoked. My darling wife just gave me a napkin and said you have sauce on your face. Good people that wasn't sauce, that was brown tears from a quarterback realizing how the other quarterbacks must feel when people like me call them out for poor play. As I was eating and contemplating my morning play I was wondering if this would change me in regards to calling future quarterbacks a bum? I guess we will have to wait and see.
