Sharon's Life Story

"Wow" It is amazing to be here with my dad whom I have missed so much, Grandma & Grandpa, Uncle Jim, Aunt Dot, Uncle Harvey, Aunt Lillian, Aunt Lucille, and Aunt Thelma and so many countless others have welcomed me. Yet, I am here! That is not to say that I don't miss all of you, I do. You know, it was time for me to leave. It was hard but now I realize it was necessary. Just like many of you, I prayed and thought that God was going to heal me and allow me to remain on earth. He saw fit to heal me and bring me home to be with him. So, it was somewhat of a bittersweet moment. I was overjoyed to be with my father, yet I knew that I wouldn't be able to see you all again for a while.

I especially miss my family, Terry, my stepson Terry Jr, my fur babies (Layla, Brooke), Kondra, Shonay, Keith, Kendrick, and all my babies. We have had such lasting memories… especially at family events.

Terry 19 years we have been married. How time flew.

I remember the first day that I laid eyes on you as if it were yesterday. I knew you were the one for me. I often think of to the trips that we went on and the fun we had. I thank you for standing by my side through my battle with cancer and with the stroke. You did an amazing job.

I want you to know that I love you and appreciate you. Please continue to take care of my fur babies and love on them as I did. I ask that you stay in touch with my family from time to time and that you bring Layla and Brooke to see mom. Little Terry as I called you but you're a grown man now. I loved you as you were my own. Continue to hold your head up high and stay strong.

What can I say about my mom, except she was awesome!

There is absolutely no way I could have gone through life without her. God knew what he was doing when he blessed me to be her daughter. My parents made growing up fun. The trips south were the best. I would always try to teach my cousins how to dance. Mom, I know that you will miss me, but I want you to continue to stay strong and remember the good times we had. Don't cry for me as I am not in any pain, be happy for me. We will see each other again.

Lavern, Joslyn, Jade, Harry, and Michael you all welcomed me into your family, and I appreciate that. Jade always know that you held a special place in my heart. I'm proud of you. We had fun memories that I often thought of, I love you and ask that you help keep Terry uplifted.

My favorite cousins whom I looked at like my little sisters.

Kondra, and Shonay, I am going to miss our time spent together from teaching both of you our dance routines in moms kitchen or backyard, to eating at Red Lobster, shopping and countless other memories we shared. Continue to try to keep the family together. Love on mom and tell Aunt Lela, I love her and will miss seeing her on Saturday's. Make sure to tell Uncle James and Aunt Diane that I love them so much.

Keith, and Kendrick you two were like my babies. I am going to miss you dearly, Keith when you can take the kids by to see mom. She would love that, continue to make people laugh and smile. Kendrick, hold on to the memories of our movie nights and trips to my company picnic. I want you to know I truly enjoyed the hours we spent in Schuler's Book and Music listening to music, And the time you and I spent when I would pick you up from MSU to come home to visit. I know when you come home you try to see everyone, please remember mom, call her sometimes she would love to hear from you.

Although I didn't have biological kids my cousins' kids were my kids and they all knew it. Ja'Nya, Kayla, MJ, Zahirah, Autumn, Azariah, Brie, and Klassiq I want you all to stay sweet and look after your parents, continue to get good grades. Kayla, I know your birthday is coming up, when you take pictures, please think of me, you know that was our thing.

Destyni, I want you to continue to be a good mom to baby Kaius. You are doing an amazing job. Love on him for me and from time to time tell him about me and how much I love him and was looking forward to watching him grow up. Keaysha, I know that you will be a good mom, Kiss the baby for me and remember that I love you. Tyesha, my God daughter continue to make me proud when you take our baby Nylah on vacations think of me. You know I loved a good vacation. Lynell, I will miss you dearly you were more like my big sister than we were cousins. I know you're going to miss Jacqueline mocking me saying I want "my bangs cut like Nell cuts". I know you will continue to help with mom and call her. She really likes talking with you, she will need family and friends to stick by her.

My dear friends Andre (who was like my brother), Emma, Racine, Sheila (friends from high school), Lyndia, Mata, and Anissa what can I say you all hold a special place in my heart. We have been through good and bad times. You all have been such good friends to me and helped me with mom.

Please continue to help look out for her she will need it, I have cherished our friendships from day one, occasionally looking through pictures of us together but don't cry just know that I love you and we were more than friends we were family.

Kim don't forget when you hear the song "Essence" by Wizkid that was my song.

Judy, Jacqueline, Renee, and Deloris you have been a huge help for me with mom and I don't think that I told you enough and how I appreciate all you have done. We had some found memories also.

Last but not least, to my dancing family I know that I love each and every one of you too many names to mention. I have been able to meet some amazing people. The dance floor was my 2nd home. I loved to meet up with you all when we traveled around the country to dance, I will miss you all so much. When you're on the dance floor, picture me smiling.

While you're dancing on earth I'll be dancing in heaven.

Couldn't leave out my Reed, Johnson, Kelley and Matthew family each and every one holds a special place in my heart and don't you ever forget it. I love you. Look back over old pictures and remember the fun times we had being silly. My family in Indianapolis, I can't leave you out. Maxine, I have enjoyed our summer vacations, and phone calls. I love you.

Hey, let me tell you how I enjoyed attending Ottawa Hills High school class of 1981. I really enjoyed being on the Pom Pom team under the direction of Ms. Harris. I was determined to graduate from Tennessee State University what a whirlwind that was, but I did it. So many memories… So many lasting friendships! Then it was time to enter the world of work with several jobs under my belt.

And finally began working for NGS Coresoure in November of 2000 to current.

All in all, I had a great time living! Family was the most important aspect of my life, from my own immediate family to my extended family stretching across the country. I just enjoyed each and every one of you.

Family is so important, Stick together. Life is short forgive those that need forgiving. Take advantage of the time you have together. I know I did. Don't be sad we will meet again on the otherside, I love you all and remember take pictures.
