Canceled Voters...What Is A Canceled Voter? Could That Be Me?
The answer is YES, you could be a canceled voter. In the city of Grand Rapids, we have a revised list of approximately 20,000 names of CANCELED VOTERS.
This is a list voter who were cancelled at voter's request, moved out of state, changed residency, or after receiving a NVRA (National Voters Registration Act) notice in the last 10 years.
PROACTIVE is making every effort to reach out and register as many new voters or re-register CANCELED voter as possible. Please check with the City Clerk's office at 616-456-3010 or go online https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/ to find out if you are registered. If you are NOT registered, please do so as soon as possible. You may do so at the same link.
WE are writing this information to you to alert you that your name may have been TAKEN OFF the list to VOTE in any future elections. This means that you are unable to vote at the August 4th primary election and the November 3rd.general election. Both elections are extremely important and require you to exercise your right to VOTE. Issues regarding healthcare, police reform and social security will be impacted based on the outcome of these elections so your voice, your power, your vote must be counted.
