Part VIII

Dearest God, Jesus, Holy Spirit,

Oh, Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

Thank you for the courage that you have given us thus far to endure the effects of the COVID—19 virus.

Our hearts go out to all of the families who did not get a chance to talk, pray and / or hold the hands of their family members and friends who heard you call their names and say, "Come!"

The news stated, "They died alone;" but you, oh loving God who promised never to leave us alone, when we made our entry into our mother's birth canal.

You were there then and you will be there when we die.

Our town, Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 8, 2020, sends out our prayers to our town and the world. We are all in need of a Savior!

Hear are some works of encouragement from some of our Dear Readers:

Rufus Will Granderson II told me because I wanted to just leave my house for a little minute. He said, "Mom, what happen to the Israelites who did not stay in the house when the Death Angel was passing over?" I replied, "They died!"

Javonne Granderson states, "People don't listen! They want to share the same mike to sing about God, who tells us to obey."

Pastor Dwright L. Gutridge's sermon, "Stay in the house. We can do this because we have been through many bad things."

Beverly Drake said, "Season and purpose everything under the sun on Christ the solid rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand."

Judy says, "We listen to conflicting reports via President Donald concerning masks — no mask, we need masks. On the way government inconsistently caution when the President prescribed medicine, refuse to listen to the scientist. He is the President not the doctor you would go out into a tornado with."

Judy Cannon Groce read Isaiah 45:9. It helped me. This is what the Lord said, the Holy one of Israel, "Do you question me about my children or give me orders about the work of my hands? I made the earth and mankind who live upon it. My own hands stretched out the heaven and made the stars in the sky,"

Pearl, a strong woman of prayer, said when God woke her up this morning, he said, "Get up and dress." A very profound statement. I got up. You cannot serve unless you are dressed.

What are your thoughts?

Yvonne Jacobs, joy will come in the morning.

Teeja M. Crawford said, "God is in control and he is able."

Dear Readers look up and sing "Just a Closer Walk with Thee. "Granted it Jesus, if you please. Daily walking close with thee; Let it be, Dear Lord, let it be. I am weak, but thou art strong."

Heard at St. Luke's Bible Study lesson on Wednesday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, "God does not give us a spirit of fear, but power, love and self control."

Dear Readers, I did not get back to the Black History Train today but will continue in next week's column.

Stay Home! Stay Safe! and keep reading the GRT.
