Dearest God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Thank you for your gentle touch this morning when you called our names and told us, "Arise!"

Our hearts were beating and our lungs were inhaling air. We did not have to wake; but it was your grace and mercy that you showed us. Lord, we are living this moment because of you!

What a wonderful cold day in our town of Grand Rapids, Michigan, February 4, 2020.

Thank you for the sunny day last Sunday with very little snow or ice.

Dear God, please, a special blessing on so many of our good neighbors who are at home or in the hospital very sick or just unable to get around.

Please give courage to our Dear Readers who have symptoms in their bodies and are too afraid to seek help because of fear.

Men and women who may find a lump in their breast or testicles, that sore that has not healed, that cough that won't go away, that dizzy spell when they get out of bed or are sitting, their big toe that is painful and swollen, the chest pain ( they call a pulled muscle), that mole that is flat, bleeds, purple in color with uneven edges, swollen feet, gums in mouth ( white and / or pale), loss of appetite (check the weight of some older people who put their food in the trash or hide it to keep family members finding out they do not feel good), unexplained weight loss, elderly people who have food, but find it hard to prepare (poor eyesight, weak arms and hands), taking half of their medication (lack of money), pets that need to be let out and walked — if not, the house can be filled with waste!

Dear Readers, please bow your heads in prayer, for on this day in our town, a family loss their lives via a house fire.

I don't know all of the details but they did not survive.

Dearest God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, we know you have our good neighbors in your care; so we ask that you will comfort the family and our community.

Please, Dear Readers, check your smoke detectors batteries and age, how many plugs are plugged into one socket, your extension cords should have the UL label (UNDER WRITERS LABORATORIES, LARDEST TESTING LABORATORY IN THE WORLD).

GOOD NEWS: FREE OF CHARGE — THE GRAND RAPIDS FIRE DEPRTMENT WILL COME CHECK YOUR HOME FOR SAFETY, INSTALL FREE FIRE ALARMS / SMOKE DETECTORS.

CALL: 311 or (616) 456 - 3000.

You are the GREATEST!
